Join us for a book talk about how micro and macro foundations of productivity, and hence economic growth and development, are inextricably intertwined.Lourdes Casanova, senior lecturer and director of the Emerging Markets Institute at the Cornell Samuel Curtis Johnson College of Business, and Peter Cornelius, research fellow, will discuss their new book, Financing Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Emerging Markets (Academic Press; November 27, 2017). The book is coauthored by Soumitra Dutta, dean and professor of management and organizations in the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management. They use case studies to portray the entrepreneurial firm and its role in accelerating the speed of innovation of new technologies, and their research identifies common flaws undermining public venture programs.
